Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Centinela Español FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Jorge Vicente Albonico despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After 58 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. After 59 played minutes Centinela Español FC got a freekick which was hit by Yerko Descalzo. In the 60th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Vicente Albonico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lauras Čiras in the 64th minute of the match. In the 68th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Centinela Español FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Centinela Español FC's goalie and right to Luis Andino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Centinela Español FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Vicente Albonico having to interfere. Centinela Español FC's Jonatán Adaos was substituted for Zbyszek Gotfryd. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lauras Čiras recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute of the match Centinela Español FC got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcel Warner ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Centinela Español FC's Zelipe Hidalgo to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 89 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcel Warner who took care of the corner kick. Juan Sebastián Puig thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Julio Vera, a very annoying self made goal in the 89th minute which led to 1-1. Yerko Descalzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 95 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
