The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. William Angelsø sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Matías Mendes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Izaltina FAD's Well-Well Waack nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 17 minutes into the game, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuel Alves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Izaltina FAD's goalkeeper Manuel Alves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 28thth minute of the game Abram Sarmiento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Izaltina FAD's Manuel Alves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Well-Well Waack in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes into the match, Izaltina FAD's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Manuel Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leo Salvino kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Izaltina FAD's Manuel Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santino Seco in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 44th minute of play forced Izaltina FAD's goalkeeper Manuel Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wágner de Sena made in the 46th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Benito Lain immediately put the ball in play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abram Sarmiento made a kick off. Manuel Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 57th minute of the match Colombia got a corner. Izaltina FAD's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luis Cazalla made a great header on Colombia's corner, it was just that Izaltina FAD's Manuel Alves managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Orlando Tafalla got a free kick in the 67th minute. After 67 played minutes, Izaltina FAD's Benito Lain shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Izaltina FAD reached it. When André de Senna came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Izaltina FAD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André de Senna couldn't finish the play. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Well-Well Waack in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute Izaltina FAD were awarded a corner. Benito Lain went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Benito Lain almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares did a great save. The supporters of Izaltina FAD booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Lain, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After 77 played minutes Izaltina FAD got a freekick which was hit by William Angelsø. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matías Mendes in the 89th minute of play. Silvio Honesto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Well-Well Waack managed to get in a good position for a shot. Izaltina FAD's supporters rose to their feet, but Well-Well Waack was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Izaltina FAD players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
