Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dionisio Guter started the match with the kick off. Dionisio Guter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. After having played for 5 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 7th minute, Dionisio Guter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Dionisio Guter in the 13thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Dionisio Guter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Frascuelo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Guter in the 20th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a free kick in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionisio Guter in the 26th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camilo Gisbert got a throw-in 35 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Luis Andino. 37 minutes into the match, Globalización's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Dante Frascuelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Frascuelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute. Luis Andino was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 42nd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Frascuelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 43rd minute of play forced Globalización's goalkeeper Dante Frascuelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Globalización made a substitution. Edelmiro Reno replaced Alejandro Ascencio. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Globalización's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Dante Frascuelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Globalización's Artemio Urbasa was substituted for Dionisio Guter. In the 62nd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 65th minute Artemio Urbasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Globalización's Artemio Urbasa. But to his dismay, Artemio Urbasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, Globalización's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Dante Frascuelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Urbasa came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Urbasa came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Globalización's goalkeeper Dante Frascuelo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Globalización were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
