The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Damazy Kinic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Senio came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Frits Nabe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frits Nabe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 30 minutes into the game, Cristobal Gorri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. XENEIXES FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Cristobal Gorri kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 32 minutes into the match, XENEIXES FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Damazy Kinic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. XENEIXES FC's Cristobal Gorri quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Salvador Gisbert, made in the 33rd minute of the game. Damazy Kinic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Salvador Gisbert in the 40th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by XENEIXES FC's Ovidio Jakobe. In the 40th minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Costa during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 46 minutes, Vyacheslav Konopatov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the XENEIXES FC and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vyacheslav Konopatov scored 2-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tomas Illescas didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-1 via right post in the game's 57th minute. Venezuela's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! A collision led to XENEIXES FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Cristobal Gorri hit a great ball. In the 69th minute Vyacheslav Konopatov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Octavio Salvatore came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the XENEIXES FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octavio Salvatore couldn't finish the play. XENEIXES FC's Jeremias Ixaka was substituted for Octavio Salvatore. In the 73rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. In the game's 74th minute XENEIXES FC's Frits Nabe took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant and thus the score was 3-1. The supporters of XENEIXES FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye XENEIXES FC's goalie prevented a goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The XENEIXES FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
