Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Fausto Kemen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 8th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fausto Kemen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Samuel Rojelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fausto Kemen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Cervantes F.C. getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Aurelio Bartuelo hit a great ball. In the 18th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Cervantes F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anastasio Berriotxoa in the 26th minute of play. Anastasio Berriotxoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fausto Kemen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fausto Kemen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 36th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cervantes F.C.'s Fausto Kemen did a great save. After 38 minutes, Apolo Mincho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cervantes F.C. and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of Cervantes F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ecuador:s goal. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Fausto Kemen made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. In the 55th match minute, Cervantes F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anastasio Berriotxoa to maneuver through the defense. Anastasio Berriotxoa kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Fausto Kemen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute of the match, Agustín Saelices tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fausto Kemen saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 59th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Cervantes F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After having played for 62 minutes, Anastasio Berriotxoa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cervantes F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Anastasio Berriotxoa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fausto Kemen made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. The corner led Ecuador's Antonio Arias to fire away a dangerous shot which Fausto Kemen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Fausto Kemen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montes in the 69th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Edelmiro Fe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cervantes F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Fausto Kemen, making the score, 0-4. Fausto Kemen made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Cervantes F.C.'s Fausto Kemen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 80th minute of play. Cervantes F.C.'s Fausto Kemen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Cervantes F.C. from getting a goal against them. Fausto Kemen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 81 minute of play. In the 84th minute Samuel Rojelio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cervantes F.C. were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carlos Nascimento took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Edelmiro Fe managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Edelmiro Fe struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cervantes F.C.. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cervantes F.C. throughout the match.
