An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 15th minute of play forced Råbi FF's goalkeeper Vilhelm Pålsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Råbi FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vilhelm Pålsson should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute, Arman Skräddare reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rolando Noboa. The goal made the score 1-1. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Råbi FF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Luz Tejedor got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vilhelm Pålsson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 44th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Mina to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by Armando Neves in the 46th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Råbi FF's Vilhelm Pålsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Vilhelm Pålsson made a huge save. Milagros Fraga struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Vilhelm Pålsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. In the 58th minute Arman Skräddare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Vilhelm Pålsson in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Arman Skräddare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arman Skräddare, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Eliseo Mina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vilhelm Pålsson having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Peru's Vilhelm Pålsson threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Julian Murillo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Råbi FF's Vilhelm Pålsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 76th minute of play. Peru were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Råbi FF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. 82 minutes into the match, Råbi FF's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Vilhelm Pålsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frank Gunnarsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Noboa having to make a save. After 85 played minutes Råbi FF got a freekick which was hit by Armando Neves. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. A collision led to Råbi FF getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Armando Neves hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the match, Peru's Rafael Gallo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vilhelm Pålsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Peru players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
