Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 5 minutes into the game, Matthias Henriksson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Målsprutornas IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Matthias Henriksson kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Mårten Fransson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Oto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Salvador Oto sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The audience was convinced that Salvador Oto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. When Salvador Oto in the 14th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Jonathan Ferrant kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Salvador Oto sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mårten Fransson having to interfere. Mårten Fransson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 30thth minute of the game Salvador Oto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute of the match Patrik Nord shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Oto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Patrik Nord got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 38th minute, Målsprutornas IF's Alfred Göransson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Salvador Oto sent off a good shot on target. Mårten Fransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Salvador Oto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Salvador Oto sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Salvador Oto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Mårten Fransson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 56th minute of the match. Mårten Fransson was a little too slow when Tomas Illescas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 5-1. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Mårten Fransson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Oto, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Salvador Oto's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Salvador Oto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Salvador Oto's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Sotero in the 85th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Målsprutornas IF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
