Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Xesc Labarra started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes in the game Primitivo Andino did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Cristian Sancho. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Ángel Santoro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Segundo Jacindo hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Ángel Santoro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xesc Labarra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Ángel Santoro having to interfere. Xesc Labarra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. After 20 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. Miguel Ángel Santoro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Chacarita Futsal's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Miguel Ángel Santoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Moises Cayo fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chacarita Futsal's protests and gave Moises Cayo a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 played minutes Chacarita Futsal got a freekick which was hit by Moises Cayo. In the 37th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 40 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Miguel Ángel Santoro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Xesc Labarra showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 44 minute of play. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Miguel Ángel Santoro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 50th minute. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chacarita Futsal's Miguel Ángel Santoro did a great save. Antonio Arias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Miguel Ángel Santoro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Ángel Santoro made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. 59 minutes into the match, Xesc Labarra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xesc Labarra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 63rd minute, which Miguel Ángel Santoro however easily saved by the left post. An unexpected shot in the 65th minute by Cristian Sancho got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Chacarita Futsal's Arild Nodland was substituted for Esteve Paublo. Arild Nodland made a great header on Chacarita Futsal's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. After 73 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Augusto Rosalio who took care of the corner kick. Agustín Saelices could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Miguel Ángel Santoro made a huge save. After 83 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. Miguel Ángel Santoro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 86th minute of play. The throw-in from Felix Montenegro in the 89th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Chacarita Futsal's Moises Cayo. The supporters of Chacarita Futsal booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Chacarita Futsal to leave the ground with a draw.
