Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Simon Ayala kicked off to start the match. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. After having played for 4 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera was out of position in the 6 minute of play, and Federico Jaraba capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Federico Jaraba really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Federico Jaraba sent off a good shot on target. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind E-xplosión Blue 8k's goalkeeper Roger Miguelez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. E-xplosión Blue 8k's Roger Miguelez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Jaraba, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 39th minute, Agustín Saelices got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute, Juan-Carlos Riancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Miguelez having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in E-xplosión Blue 8k's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Miguelez came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. A collision led to E-xplosión Blue 8k getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Juan-Carlos Riancho hit a great ball. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by E-xplosión Blue 8k's Federico Jaraba. But to his dismay, Federico Jaraba quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger Miguelez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Jaraba in the 60th minute of the match. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 68th match minute, E-xplosión Blue 8k was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Huidobro to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Federico Jaraba made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Roger Miguelez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Federico Jaraba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Federico Jaraba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roger Miguelez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. Federico Jaraba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute, Federico Jaraba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. The E-xplosión Blue 8k support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
