Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) A sloppy throw-in by Marquinhos Teixeira in the 3rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga. Damian Fetor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Eliseo Noboa kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Marquinhos Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Axel Tasis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damian Fetor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Noboa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damian Fetor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Axel Tasis put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Damian Fetor. After 22 minutes of play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Damian Fetor was left in no man's land by his defense there! FÊNIX F.C.'s attentive Evaristo Martins managed to snatch the ball when Efrain Moruga made a throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game. Kauã Moreno might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kauã Moreno ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when FÊNIX F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt Bouchard didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Damian Fetor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Costa Rica were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Marquinhos Teixeira made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, FÊNIX F.C.'s Damian Fetor got control of the ball when Lautaro Puig tried to sneak it across the goal line. Costa Rica's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Tasis in the 54th minute. A nice corner shot did that Axel Tasis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Damian Fetor quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. FÊNIX F.C.'s Gilberto Leite was substituted for Tiago Gabriel Damião. 66 minutes into the match, Marquinhos Teixeira notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marquinhos Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Marquinhos Teixeira scored 2-3 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Abel Carballo fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Abel Carballo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FÊNIX F.C. booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauã Moreno in the 91st minute of play. There was no doubt that FÊNIX F.C. were the better team. FÊNIX F.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
