The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Joel Strömberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Márk Kovács in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filiph Hägg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Templars FC's André Courtois proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Templars FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Aston Villa FC's zone, Márk Kovács stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filiph Hägg came out of the goal and Márk Kovács tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filiph Hägg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Márk Kovács went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Staffan Apelqvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filiph Hägg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th minute Márk Kovács shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filiph Hägg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tim Lund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but André Courtois made a huge save. Márk Kovács took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Filiph Hägg. Filiph Hägg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Filiph Hägg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Staffan Apelqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tim Lund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Templars FC's Jack Nicholson got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute, Adelino Marques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Templars FC fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Templars FC's Staffan Apelqvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Merrill Pryor in the 41st minute of play forced Templars FC's goalkeeper André Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Aston Villa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Márk Kovács came free, but Filiph Hägg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Márk Kovács made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Márk Kovács made a precise shot to the right of Filiph Hägg. Aston Villa FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Márk Kovács recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Templars FC's Staffan Apelqvist got a free kick in the 56th minute. Staffan Apelqvist came free with the goalkeeper in the 58th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Filiph Hägg could save by the left post. Templars FC's Jonathan Sammut was substituted for Márk Kovács. Templars FC made a substitution. Evan Vancell replaced Jack Nicholson. Jonathan Sammut's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filiph Hägg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Aston Villa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Sammut came free, but Filiph Hägg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filiph Hägg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Sammut in the 69th minute of play. After having played for 74 minutes, Jonathan Sammut managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Templars FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Sammut was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 78 minutes into the game, Jörgen Dalkvist threw the ball into play from the sideline. Templars FC's Evan Vancell quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Tim Lund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. André Courtois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 85 minutes of play, Templars FC's Jonathan Sammut made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Filiph Hägg was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Templars FC's Jonathan Sammut in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aston Villa FC's goalie prevented a goal. Filiph Hägg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Sammut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filiph Hägg made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Jonathan Sammut sent off a good shot on target. The Aston Villa FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Templars FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Templars FC.
