Edmundo Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Merrill Pryor in the 18th minute of the match. Edmundo Catarinense came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Aston Villa FC's Jonas Forsberg. But to his dismay, Jonas Forsberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Edmundo Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Forsberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After a rather tough play, Wolf's Hortêncio Fantini got a free kick in the 28th minute. Elói Guerra lost his temper 30 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Murilo Monteiro in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filiph Hägg saved Aston Villa FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Wolf's Geovanni Cordeiro got a free kick in the 39th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Murilo Monteiro got free with Filiph Hägg in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edmundo Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils-Åke Gunnarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Murilo Monteiro to make the kick off. In the 58th minute Tim Lund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmundo Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tim Lund in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Edmundo Catarinense, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 65th minute Tim Lund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmundo Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonas Forsberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Edmundo Catarinense made a huge save. Filiph Hägg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murilo Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wolf's Edmundo Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörgen Dalkvist in the 69th minute of play. After having played for 75 minutes, Tim Lund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aston Villa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tim Lund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edmundo Catarinense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Merrill Pryor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tim Lund succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-5 in the 92nd playminute.
