The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vinicio Felipo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Merrill Pryor in the 4th minute of the match. After some careless play in the EL CERVECERO F.C. defense, Merrill Pryor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vinicio Felipo. The EL CERVECERO F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vinicio Felipo should have stopped the shot. In the 10th minute Merrill Pryor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Felipo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Valer Bălășoiu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Filiph Hägg. Valer Bălășoiu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Merrill Pryor in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vinicio Felipo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vinicio Felipo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils-Åke Gunnarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Nils-Åke Gunnarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 26 played minutes Aston Villa FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Forsberg. Aston Villa FC's Bo Lange quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Emanuel Txerran, made in the 30th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Aston Villa FC's Nils-Åke Gunnarsson got a free kick in the 44th minute. When Aston Villa FC's Merrill Pryor in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye EL CERVECERO F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernesto Playo to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonel Eguzki during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 55 minutes into the match, Merrill Pryor dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vinicio Felipo, 1-2. EL CERVECERO F.C.'s Niceto Ranolfo was substituted for Valer Bălășoiu. Vinicio Felipo was a little too slow when Tim Lund got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 1-3. A well-hit corner resulted in Tim Lund heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. A collision led to EL CERVECERO F.C. getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Radomir Tomiczek hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the match, EL CERVECERO F.C.'s goalkeeper Vinicio Felipo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nils-Åke Gunnarsson. Nils-Åke Gunnarsson scored 1-4 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vinicio Felipo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
