Samurai Champions FC's D.J. 杨广 managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Celio Cruz in the 22 minute of the game. If Reynaldo Froila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute Willie Colon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio de Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Dominique Dahlstrom reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Chuan Cintron. The goal made the score 1-0. Chuan Cintron came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Samurai Champions FC's Peter Santos. But to his dismay, Peter Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Márcio de Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar De León, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atlético Municipal's Silvanito Gainza was substituted for Azubeli Roman. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Márcio de Brito, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Willie Colon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Atlético Municipal made a substitution. Frank Dusett replaced Willie Colon. The supporters of Samurai Champions FC booed when Atlético Municipal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celio Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atlético Municipal's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Samurai Champions FC had won, even though Atlético Municipal had held more of the ball.
