Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Epifanio Leceta in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chuan Cintron prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th minute Dionisio Quinito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chuan Cintron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willie Colon in the 24th minute of play forced ℄ΣᏩモ₦ፚ ℱ.Ȼ's goalkeeper Santiago Fuentes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute Oscar De León shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Fuentes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ℄ΣᏩモ₦ፚ ℱ.Ȼ's Santiago Fuentes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claude Sena in the 29th minute of play. Chuan Cintron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dionisio Quinito in the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Atlético Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Epifanio Leceta came free, but Chuan Cintron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Chuan Cintron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matxin Curro in the 66th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Willie Colon got free with Santiago Fuentes in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 70 minutes into the match, ℄ΣᏩモ₦ፚ ℱ.Ȼ's Epifanio Leceta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chuan Cintron narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Epifanio Leceta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. ℄ΣᏩモ₦ፚ ℱ.Ȼ made a substitution.
