The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patric Bierhoff was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Vecdet Karaca took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Yavuz Selimhan Gulson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 55th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC KALELİ's Arturo Filippini got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 65th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Gaona to maneuver through the defense. Antoni Camarasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Joel Gaona fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mexico's protests and gave Joel Gaona a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC KALELİ booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Gaona didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mexico's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because FC KALELİ had won, even though Mexico had held more of the ball.
