Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arsenio Claus in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After having played for 42 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th match minute, Salmiyah Power was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Bărnuțiu to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Boncho Vlúchkov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 53rd minute. When Lakhdar Guendouz fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salmiyah Power's protests and gave Lakhdar Guendouz a yellow card for diving instead. Lakhdar Guendouz hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute, Daniel Zorita fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Boncho Vlúchkov could save by the left post. In the 61st minute, Kacper Koperski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salmiyah Power fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Luis Andino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boncho Vlúchkov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lakhdar Guendouz's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. With a little luck, Salmiyah Power's Boncho Vlúchkov got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jeremias Ganix took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Boncho Vlúchkov in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Boncho Vlúchkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 77th minute of play. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Boncho Vlúchkov made a huge save. Salmiyah Power's Hamid Ahmed was substituted for Brahim Kerkar. Salmiyah Power's Noureddine Adjani was substituted for Jeremias Ganix. After 84 played minutes Salmiyah Power got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Ganix. In the 84th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Boncho Vlúchkov skillfully saved the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Boncho Vlúchkov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Boncho Vlúchkov. That made the score 1-2 after 88 minutes of play. Boncho Vlúchkov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 92nd minute of the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arsenio Claus, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ecuador had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
