The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 96 minutes, Istok Šabotić made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ecuador played a much better game than HIT Gorica and deserved their victory. The HIT Gorica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
