Jesus Llope made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Lionel Messi kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 32nd minute of play forced BARRILETE COSMICO's goalkeeper Jesus Llope to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jesus Llope showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Eloy Dubardo's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eloy Dubardo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd minute, Eloy Dubardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play.
