Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tomas Illescas made the kick off which started today's match. Danijel Petrlin succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 3rd playminute. Maksimir's Miodrag Rozga quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alex Chicote, made in the 9th minute of the game. Miodrag Rozga hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 14th minute of play forced Maksimir's goalkeeper Antonio Križanec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonio Križanec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 15th minute of play. Danijel Petrlin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danijel Petrlin, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Antonio Križanec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 22nd minute of play. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Antonio Hrste scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 3-0. In the 26th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danijel Petrlin in the 28th minute of play. Maksimir's attentive Miodrag Rozga managed to snatch the ball when Alex Chicote made a throw-in in the 34th minute of the game. In the 34th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th play minute Danijel Petrlin came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Danijel Petrlin's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antonio Križanec. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danijel Petrlin in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Danijel Petrlin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Alex Chicote mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Maksimir players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Antonio Križanec in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Danijel Petrlin in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Maksimir's Danijel Petrlin in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danijel Petrlin in the 65th minute of play. Antonio Križanec made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 68th minute. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Danijel Petrlin's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Maksimir's Maksim Delić was substituted for Marin Kuharić. Maksimir's Adrijan Grbović was substituted for Danijel Petrlin. The throw-in from Salvador Gisbert in the 73rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Maksimir's Gradimir Antonić. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrijan Grbović in the 74th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Maksimir getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Trpimir Smilčić hit a great ball. Venezuela's Jose Correa quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gradimir Antonić, made in the 79th minute of the game. 81 minutes into the game, Salvador Gisbert threw the ball into play from the sideline. Maksimir's Gradimir Antonić quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Adrijan Grbović managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maksimir's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrijan Grbović was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adrijan Grbović struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maksimir. Alex Chicote made in the 94th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Patricio Costa. In the 94th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the game, Adrijan Grbović cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Maksimir were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
