Lei Feng Yan was slow to take the kick. During this time S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's players had a chance to rest. Osvaldo Daunte made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Lei Feng Yan sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's zone, Marshall Medina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esen Sanal came out of the goal and Marshall Medina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
