Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off. Andriy Lunin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. A collision led to SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Bernardinho Alagoano hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 6th minute of play forced SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Andriy Lunin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milagros Fraga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Eustaquio Brufau was substituted for Ödön Szily. Andriy Lunin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Mina in the 24th minute of the match. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andriy Lunin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Mina came free, but Andriy Lunin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Elodio. 34 minutes into the game, David Elodio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rolando Noboa. David Elodio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 40th minute, Henning Fink hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardinho Alagoano kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, David Elodio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rolando Noboa, 3-1.

SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Andriy Lunin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Mina in the 61st minute of play forced SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Andriy Lunin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 63rd minute. Toralf Hell got a throw-in 65 minutes in the game and the ball was received by David Elodio. Andriy Lunin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 69th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andriy Lunin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseo Mina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andriy Lunin having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Julian Murillo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Andriy Lunin. The goal made the score 3-2. 82 minutes into the game, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s David Elodio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Andriy Lunin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmanuel Reyes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emmanuel Reyes kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. could leave the field as winners, despite Peru having more of the ball for most of the match.
