Dani Hernández stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ömer-Asaf Güneş's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Gonzo Maradona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filip Bochinski in the 23rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Chivos de Punto Fijo's zone, Ömer-Asaf Güneş stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dani Hernández came out of the goal and Ömer-Asaf Güneş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Les Tigres's Gonzo Maradona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Bochinski in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th minute Chivos de Punto Fijo were awarded a corner. Filip Bochinski went to the cornerflag to take it. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Narciso Gombal was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gonzo Maradona in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Dani Hernández made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Estevez in the 32nd minute of play. In the 37th match minute, Les Tigres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Beckham to maneuver through the defense. Gonzo Maradona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cezary Makomaski in the 38th minute of the match. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Les Tigres's Rodolfo Luken was substituted for Silvano Ihazintu. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ömer-Asaf Güneş was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute Edvard Võsandi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dani Hernández saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cezary Makomaski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 62nd minute, Juan Torrent reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gonzo Maradona. The goal made the score 0-1. Les Tigres made a substitution. Mauro Abel replaced Edvard Võsandi. Les Tigres's Leonardo Tipi was substituted for Ömer-Asaf Güneş. Les Tigres's Gonzo Maradona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Äliqulu Vermäliyev in the 68th minute of play. After 70 minutes, Äliqulu Vermäliyev made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Les Tigres's Gonzo Maradona tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dani Hernández showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafino Pestaña, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Les Tigres's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Severino Estevez in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute, Severino Estevez made a precise shot to the right of Dani Hernández. Chivos de Punto Fijo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Dani Hernández made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Tipi in the 87th minute of play. After some careless play in the Les Tigres defense, Cezary Makomaski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gonzo Maradona. The Les Tigres fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gonzo Maradona should have stopped the shot. The Les Tigres supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Chivos de Punto Fijo's performance. The match ended with a win for Chivos de Punto Fijo.
