In the 11th minute, Joel Gaona made a precise shot to the right of Lorenzo Beckman. Dragons AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberto Tafalla in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lorenzo Beckman saved Dragons AFC from getting behind. Dragons AFC's Marco Guerau managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Macos Graciani in the 23 minute of the game. 27 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Dragons AFC's Lorenzo Beckman. Lorenzo Beckman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lorenzo Beckman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 34th minute of play forced Dragons AFC's goalkeeper Lorenzo Beckman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Dragons AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Lorenzo Beckman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Prime Hock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Dragons AFC's goalkeeper Lorenzo Beckman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. After 53 minutes Dragons AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Jo-Wilfried Schouten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 57th minute of play forced Dragons AFC's goalkeeper Lorenzo Beckman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jo-Wilfried Schouten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lorenzo Beckman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The referee felt a red card was in order, 79 minutes into the game, when Felix Luque put in a rough tackle. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mexico! Dante Lacasa had in the 81stth minute some difficulties stopping Jo-Wilfried Schouten's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Leonardo Leoz hit a great ball. Leonardo Leoz made in the 86th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Dragons AFC's Donato Barbosa. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The throw-in from Leonardo Leoz in the 91st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Dragons AFC's Donato Barbosa. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
