Cezary Czeszyk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of FC Catalonia booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 played minutes FC Catalonia got a freekick which was hit by Tobiasz Serwacki. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, FC Catalonia's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Cedrick Francoeur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angelo Jenaro. Arlindo Tinoco's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. After 47 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Han Wei Yuan made a kick off. If Cezary Czeszyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. In the 75th minute of the match FC Catalonia got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Şinasi Ahioğlu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Şinasi Ahioğlu made a great header on FC Catalonia's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. 80 minutes into the game, FC Catalonia's Angelo Jenaro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. FC Catalonia's Czeslaw Piczak was substituted for Cezary Czeszyk. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Han Wei Yuan in the 84th minute of play. Czeslaw Piczak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Angelo Jenaro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 93rd minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Catalonia had played much better football throughout.
