The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, ATLETICO HUILA F.C's Bonifaco Sovera got a free kick in the 15th minute. Beltza Morell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timeteo Hernani in the 41st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Txeru Errasti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kusko Borica kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The supporters of ATLETICO HUILA F.C booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bonifaco Sovera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rd minute Bonifaco Sovera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led ATLETICO HUILA F.C's Ortzi Gustros to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 59th minute Kusko Borica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 62 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulino Toraño kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Paulino Toraño hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Beltza Morell made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of ATLETICO HUILA F.C booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense.
