Bobbi Sagi came out of the goal and Francisco Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mads Aarum received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joaquin Gayoso came out and tried to block the shot, but Mads Aarum slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 12th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Mads Aarum kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joaquin Gayoso. That made the score 5-0 in the 36 minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Runar Flou was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Runar Flou in the 62nd minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute Mads Aarum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Injuries's Mads Aarum nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquin Gayoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Detlef Sonne, made in the 94th minute of the game. Camilo Franco hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Runar Flou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Injuries were victorious despite being under pressure from Uruguay for much of the match.
