Horaţiu Nițoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Verzea, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 28th match minute, -BZF- Barca de Buzau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Hristea to maneuver through the defense. The -BZF- Barca de Buzau fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horaţiu Nițoi should have stopped the shot. Liviu Răuţă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octav Hortopan having to interfere. Valeriu Băcioiu lost his temper 46 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Valeriu Băcioiu got a free kick in the 47th minute. 48 minutes into the match, -BZF- Barca de Buzau's goalkeeper Horaţiu Nițoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filip Urseanu. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Iulian Taşcu made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Sebastian Purje shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octav Hortopan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, -BZF- Barca de Buzau's goal looked a bit too open when Virgil Nedelcea came free, but Horaţiu Nițoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filip Urseanu during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Filip Urseanu got his second yellow card in the match during the 77th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 77 played minutes -BZF- Fc Gheraseni got a freekick which was hit by Filip Urseanu. In the 84th minute Ovidiu Pătrașcu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octav Hortopan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, -BZF- Barca de Buzau's goal looked a bit too open when Virgil Nedelcea came free, but Horaţiu Nițoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
