Jardel Velloso started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldo Fenomeno got free with Juvenal Talló in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 8th minute of the match Miau Stars got a corner. Bene Animatus's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Palmer Akers ran over to the corner to take the kick. Edmílson Arantes made a great header on Miau Stars's corner, it was just that Bene Animatus's Juvenal Talló managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience was convinced that Jardel Velloso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abdulkadir Eraslan was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. In the 18th minute Simon Hooker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdulkadir Eraslan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Miau Stars getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Kenneth Knutsson hit a great ball. In the 25thth minute of the game Jardel Velloso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Miau Stars's Abdulkadir Eraslan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 26th minute of play forced Bene Animatus's goalkeeper Juvenal Talló to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Miau Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Hooker came free, but Abdulkadir Eraslan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juvenal Talló showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Fenomeno, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bene Animatus's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Palmer Akers was slow to take the kick. During this time Miau Stars's players had a chance to rest. With his leg Juvenal Talló managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Miau Stars's Ronaldo Fenomeno fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 43 minutes into the match, Miau Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Nazil Şahinter came free, but Abdulkadir Eraslan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ronaldo Fenomeno made a kick off. The supporters of Miau Stars booed when Bene Animatus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luís Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Miau Stars's Kenneth Knutsson got a free kick in the 55th minute. With an all-out effort, Bene Animatus's Abdulkadir Eraslan threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jardel Velloso, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some careless play in the Miau Stars defense, Jardel Velloso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abdulkadir Eraslan. The Miau Stars fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abdulkadir Eraslan should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Bene Animatus's zone, Ronaldo Fenomeno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juvenal Talló came out of the goal and Ronaldo Fenomeno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 64th minute of play forced Bene Animatus's goalkeeper Juvenal Talló to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miau Stars's Anton Bröms was substituted for Olavo Mota. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juvenal Talló prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Ronaldo Fenomeno came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Miau Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldo Fenomeno couldn't finish the play. 78 minutes into the match, Miau Stars's Ronaldo Fenomeno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juvenal Talló narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jean-Claude Van Damme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juvenal Talló read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Leandro Fonsecas short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Abdulkadir Eraslan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juvenal Talló saved Bene Animatus from getting behind. With a little luck, Miau Stars's Abdulkadir Eraslan got control of the ball when Simon Hooker tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bene Animatus's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Miau Stars had won, even though Bene Animatus had held more of the ball.
