Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Vatan Kambay made the kick off which started today's match. Jovens Democratas MZC's Dalmo Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osmar dos Santos in the 3rd minute of play. André Luiz de Barros came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Jovens Democratas MZC's Xu Li Sang. But to his dismay, Xu Li Sang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 11th minute Xu Li Sang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Luiz de Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jovens Democratas MZC were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after A.D Leônico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ruy de Brito took the corner. Jovens Democratas MZC's Ruy de Brito was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but André Luiz de Barros in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 12 played minutes Ruy de Brito shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for A.D Leônico's André Luiz de Barros to catch but Ruy de Brito was lucky. It became 0-2 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Chico de Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jovens Democratas MZC's supporters rose to their feet, but Chico de Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Luiz de Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andriy Shevchenko in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dalmo Saldanha saved Jovens Democratas MZC from getting behind. 21 minutes into the match, A.D Leônico's goal looked a bit too open when Chico de Sousa came free, but André Luiz de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dalmo Saldanha was a little too slow when Andriy Shevchenko got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 2-2. Jovens Democratas MZC's Ruy de Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dalmo Saldanha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frederico Donato in the 36th minute. Ruy de Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. André Luiz de Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico de Sousa in the 39th minute of the match. Dalmo Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osmar dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After the first half Jovens Democratas MZC were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chico de Sousa made a kick off. 50 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Andriy Shevchenko came free, but Dalmo Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruy de Brito in the 55th minute of play forced A.D Leônico's goalkeeper André Luiz de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Luiz de Barros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chico de Sousa in the 61st minute. A collision led to A.D Leônico getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Tony Mendes hit a great ball. Jovens Democratas MZC made a substitution. Marco van Basten replaced Durval de Queirós. In the 67th minute, Tony Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, A.D Leônico's André Luiz de Barros got control of the ball when Marco van Basten tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind A.D Leônico's goalkeeper André Luiz de Barros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, A.D Leônico's goalkeeper André Luiz de Barros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco van Basten. Dalmo Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vatan Kambay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chico de Sousa in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of André Luiz de Barros, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Osmar dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jovens Democratas MZC's Elano Loureiro was substituted for Dobromir Zagrodny. 88 minutes into the game, Chico de Sousa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of André Luiz de Barros. Chico de Sousa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Jovens Democratas MZC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
