After 14 minutes, Niceto Ihazintu made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Sipo EC's Carroll Hathaway tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Niceto Ihazintu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carroll Hathaway was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Carroll Hathaway came out of the goal and Jorge Henrique tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ergo Muro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Décio Messias in the 48th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Décio Messias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Caatiba MZC booed when Sipo EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdir Arósio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carroll Hathaway made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niceto Ihazintu in the 55th minute. The audience was convinced that Niceto Ihazintu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carroll Hathaway was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Carroll Hathaway came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Caatiba MZC's Jorge Henrique. But to his dismay, Jorge Henrique quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Delfim Bertassi hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niceto Ihazintu got free with Carroll Hathaway in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carroll Hathaway made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niceto Ihazintu in the 68th minute. Ergo Muro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Décio Messias in the 69th minute of play. After 72 played minutes Caatiba MZC got a freekick which was hit by Hector Garofalis. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sipo EC's goalkeeper Carroll Hathaway, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Niceto Ihazintu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Carroll Hathaway made a huge save. Carroll Hathaway made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Niceto Ihazintu sent off a good shot on target.
