Izaltina FAD's Manuel Alves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Izaltina FAD from getting a goal against them. Demis Katsarolidis came free with the goalkeeper in the 6th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Manuel Alves could save by the left post. 9 minutes into the match, PIAUÍ FC's Víktor Santos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manuel Alves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Mete Gøl notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Izaltina FAD's Manuel Alves. Manuel Alves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Víktor Santos got free with Manuel Alves in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Víktor Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guga Trancoso in the 27th minute of play. Manuel Alves had great luck who in the 29thth minute grab hold of the ball when Mete Gøl from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 30th minute Guga Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, PIAUÍ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Matías Mendes came free, but Iurie Chiriacescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. PIAUÍ FC's Iurie Chiriacescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Well-Well Waack in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute Guga Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by PIAUÍ FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Benito Lain was slow to take the kick. During this time Izaltina FAD's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Izaltina FAD's William Angelsø getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After some careless play in the PIAUÍ FC defense, Matías Mendes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iurie Chiriacescu. The PIAUÍ FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iurie Chiriacescu should have stopped the shot.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guga Trancoso to strike the kick off in the second half. Víktor Santos hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. When PIAUÍ FC's Guga Trancoso in 54 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Manuel Alves guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 55th minute Well-Well Waack shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iurie Chiriacescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute Mete Gøl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute of the match PIAUÍ FC got a corner. Izaltina FAD's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Demis Katsarolidis ran over to the corner to take the kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guga Trancoso in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Alves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Manuel Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mete Gøl in the 64th minute of play. Izaltina FAD's Well-Well Waack got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. PIAUÍ FC's Iurie Chiriacescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Well-Well Waack in the 72nd minute of play. After some careless play in the PIAUÍ FC defense, Well-Well Waack kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iurie Chiriacescu. The PIAUÍ FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iurie Chiriacescu should have stopped the shot. PIAUÍ FC's Leonel Fero was substituted for Renato Sá. Well-Well Waack hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Matías Mendes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Iurie Chiriacescu made a huge save. William Angelsø received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Iurie Chiriacescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. PIAUÍ FC's Vladimir de Sena was substituted for Demis Katsarolidis. Juninho Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The PIAUÍ FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Izaltina FAD's performance. The match ended with a win for Izaltina FAD.
