The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benjamin Cambranes was the one to do the kick off. Desfachatados F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Desfachatados F.C. made a substitution. Desfachatados F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Luis Andino scored to the left of an out of position Esteve Pello, making the score, 0-7. After having played for 78 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Esteve Pello having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Cambranes in the 81st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Esteve Pello in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felix Montenegro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. Desfachatados F.C.'s Esteve Pello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Desfachatados F.C. from getting a goal against them. After 88 played minutes Desfachatados F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Eleuterio Ulizes. Esteve Pello was a little too slow when Cristian Sancho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 0-9.
