Tomas Illescas hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Segmon IF's Hannes Haraldsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leif Löfdahl was the one to do the kick off. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Tomas Illescas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alfons Glad quite easily take care of the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Dubiel in the 84th minute of the match. Leif Löfdahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Segmon IF were the better team. Segmon IF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
