Mitchel Dijkstra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 3rd minute of the match. Humberto Jonge charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Humberto Jonge the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Fc Benefica getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Humberto Jonge hit a great ball. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mitchel Dijkstra. Mitchel Dijkstra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Felix Garrido made in the 9th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Fc Benefica's Eduard Gryshko. Mitchel Dijkstra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Felix Garrido hit a great ball. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chile's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leandro Soares was slow to take the kick. During this time Fc Benefica's players had a chance to rest. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leandro Soares in the 20th minute. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Soares in the 24th minute of play. 28 minutes in the game Gerardo Pozo did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Guillermo Fontirroig. Fc Benefica's Mitchel Dijkstra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute of the match Chile got a corner. Fc Benefica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariano Lacasa ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ture Asklöv tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Mitchel Dijkstra. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-2 in the 35th minute. 0-3 became the score in the 39th minute when Mariano Lacasa elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Fc Benefica's attentive Eduard Gryshko managed to snatch the ball when Felix Garrido made a throw-in in the 41st minute of the game.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leandro Soares to make the kick off. Leandro Soares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leandro Soares in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 53 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Fc Benefica's Leandro Soares fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Soares in the 54th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Leandro Soares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. 63 minutes into the match, Fc Benefica's Leandro Soares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 64th minute of the match Fc Benefica got a corner. Chile's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leandro Soares ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mariano Lacasa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute, Chile's Mariano Lacasa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mitchel Dijkstra. Mitchel Dijkstra yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Leandro Soares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. With a little luck, Fc Benefica's Mitchel Dijkstra got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 81st minute, Leandro Soares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. After a rather tough play, Chile's Felix Garrido got a free kick in the 85th minute. Fc Benefica's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leandro Soares in the 90th minute. 94 minutes into the game, Eduard Gryshko threw the ball into play from the sideline. Chile's Gerardo Pozo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion.
