Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 6th minute of play forced NovaStella FK's goalkeeper Viktor Häll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viktor Häll took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Viktor Häll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viktor Häll made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristoffer Ek in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute NovaStella FK were awarded a corner. Inocencio Lorien went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Inocencio Lorien almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Lluciano in the 22nd minute of play. Viktor Häll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, NovaStella FK's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Viktor Häll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Viktor Häll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. NovaStella FK's Viktor Häll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Inocencio Lorien could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of Ecuador booed when NovaStella FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Odén didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 40 minutes, Kristoffer Ek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NovaStella FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristoffer Ek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roman Lluciano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 46th minute. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Inocencio Lorien in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kristoffer Ek made a kick off. 50 minutes into the match, Luis Andino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Viktor Häll, 0-1. Inocencio Lorien struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NovaStella FK. NovaStella FK's Viktor Häll proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save NovaStella FK from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inocencio Lorien took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. With a little luck, NovaStella FK's Viktor Häll got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Viktor Häll having to make a save. 85 minutes into the match, NovaStella FK's goalkeeper Viktor Häll had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. 88 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Viktor Häll. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than NovaStella FK throughout the match.
