After some careless play in the Pe de Sabão FC defense, Mario Fernandino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiago Monteiro. The Pe de Sabão FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiago Monteiro should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Pe de Sabão FC's Vágner Macedo got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Francisco Gallo's late challenge caught a Pe de Sabão FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco Gallo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th minute, Anderson Urbano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pe de Sabão FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Eduardo Fontirroig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. In the 39th minute Julio Chicote shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camilo Freixa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wellington Paraíba in the 45th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anderson Urbano made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Ismael Tejedor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bolivia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pe de Sabão FC the free kick. Ismael Tejedor kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After 60th play minutes Eusébio Cordeiro shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Camilo Freixa and just under the crossbar into goal. Camilo Freixa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wellington Paraíba in the 66th minute of the match. In the 75th minute Duarte Ramos suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Ismael Tejedor was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 75 minutes had been played. Alfonso de la Cruz struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Tiago Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bolivia. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
