In the 25th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremie Van Nel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abram Sarmiento in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. When Fridtjof Dramstad fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.F Intercity's protests and gave Fridtjof Dramstad a yellow card for diving instead. Fridtjof Dramstad kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Jeremie Van Nel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Daniel Cazacu made the kick off in the second half. Jeremie Van Nel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pascual Carballar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 51 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Luis Zamora managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.F Intercity's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Zamora was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The attack was good, but when Daniel Cazacu in the 55th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Cazacu in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. 62 minutes into the game, Daniel Cazacu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, C.F Intercity's Jeremie Van Nel got control of the ball when Abram Sarmiento tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Orlando Tafalla hit a great ball. C.F Intercity made a substitution. Şimşek Miran replaced Song Xiao Li. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. C.F Intercity made a substitution. Olivar Ribeiro replaced Daniel Cazacu. The supporters of C.F Intercity booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the C.F Intercity defense, Ignacio Mastache kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeremie Van Nel. The C.F Intercity fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeremie Van Nel should have stopped the shot. In the 82nd minute, Olivar Ribeiro made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-3. If Olivar Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 86 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Olivar Ribeiro came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 90 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Mastache. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The C.F Intercity fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
