Venezuela's players were relieved. 14 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Venancio Bortzaioriz came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Tomás Berart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Wincenty Tarka scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Venancio Bortzaioriz went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 24th minute, Wincenty Tarka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Club Lacra Unida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Lastur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomás Berart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Wincenty Tarka came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute, Venancio Bortzaioriz fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 36th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wincenty Tarka could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Venancio Bortzaioriz made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Wincenty Tarka stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Wincenty Tarka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 56 minutes into the match, Club Lacra Unida's goalkeeper Tomás Berart had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. 57 minutes into the match, Club Lacra Unida's Wincenty Tarka sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Club Lacra Unida's Tomás Berart got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 64th play minutes Tomas Illescas shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Tomás Berart and just under the crossbar into goal. Tomás Berart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 67th minute of play. Venancio Jerardo's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Venancio Jerardo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th match minute, Club Lacra Unida was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Venancio Jerardo to maneuver through the defense. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Berart having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Venancio Bortzaioriz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Lacra Unida's supporters rose to their feet, but Venancio Bortzaioriz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Club Lacra Unida's Venancio Bortzaioriz managed to work through Venezuela's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Venancio Bortzaioriz dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. With a little luck, Club Lacra Unida's Tomás Berart got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 84th match minute, Club Lacra Unida was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferrer Oliba to maneuver through the defense. Tomás Berart acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 86th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jose Correa. Club Lacra Unida's Tomás Berart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 90th minute of play. Club Lacra Unida's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
