Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Roman Gdaniec took the kick off in the first half of the match. Lastur Murcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 2nd minute of play. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Berkay Yetiş got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 1-0. 20 minutes into the game, Roman Gdaniec recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Roman Gdaniec showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Gdaniec in the 25th minute of play. Girona FC were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Iván Salgado took the corner. A collision led to Girona FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Jüri Haiba hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Gdaniec in the 31st minute of play. When Girona FC's Roman Gdaniec in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Felix Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lastur Murcia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. After 39 minutes of play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lastur Murcia was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 45thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Girona FC's Lastur Murcia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Julio Vera didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Girona FC's Roman Gdaniec shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-1 in the ordered_time% minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
65 minutes into the match, Roman Gdaniec notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Lastur Murcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 70 in the game by Cristian Sancho from a close distance when the talented Lastur Murcia managed to make a qualified save. Girona FC's players were relieved. After taking down the ball on Girona FC's corner Iván Salgado fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lastur Murcia having to interfere. Gaizkine Babia charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gaizkine Babia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Girona FC's Gaizkine Babia got a free kick in the 89th minute. Roman Gdaniec recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Girona FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
