Therkil Varsing blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Feliberto Refugio having to make a save. 15 minutes into the match, Ferdinand Romholt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Feliberto Refugio. Monteagudo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ferdinand Romholt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Askild Ene struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Feliberto Refugio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hønning. Orlando Cordarin kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Monteagudo's goal looked a bit too open when Ulrik Wieder came free, but Feliberto Refugio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Monteagudo defense, Ulrik Wieder kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Feliberto Refugio. The Monteagudo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Feliberto Refugio should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Hønning's Ferdinand Romholt got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Therkil Varsing scored 0-3 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Feliberto Refugio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Feliberto Refugio came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Hønning's Ulrik Wieder. But to his dismay, Ulrik Wieder quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Ulrik Wieder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

The wind increased when Ulrik Wieder made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Ferdinand Romholt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliberto Refugio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Torben Steenhede lost his temper 54 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hønning! Folmar Dandanell had in the 56thth minute some difficulties stopping Cristobal Brion's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Amador Soin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Folmar Dandanell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Monteagudo's goalkeeper Feliberto Refugio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ulrik Wieder. Askild Ene sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Therkil Varsing got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Ulrik Wieder put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Feliberto Refugio. Folmar Dandanell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amador Soin in the 79th minute of the match. After 88 played minutes Monteagudo got a freekick which was hit by Martin Cresencio. In the 93rd minute Amador Soin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folmar Dandanell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Monteagudo's Feliberto Refugio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Monteagudo from getting a goal against them. The Hønning supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hønning would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
