Vítor Damas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moisés Arruda went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After 24 played minutes Ique Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Travassos. Samuca Leal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vítor Damas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute of the match Ique Football Club got a corner. Esquadrão Lusitano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Samuca Leal ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ique Football Club's Samuca Leal was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vítor Damas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A very nice done corner allowed Hélder Bueno to score against Vítor Damas in Esquadrão Lusitano's goal. 4-0 after 30 minutes. Esquadrão Lusitano's Vítor Damas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moisés Arruda in the 35th minute of play. Vítor Damas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aimar Aimar in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ique Football Club's goalkeeper João Francisco Leme, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 44 minutes, Hélder Bueno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ique Football Club and the Esquadrão Lusitano players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Esquadrão Lusitano booed when Ique Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Bueno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristiano Cigaran to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Esquadrão Lusitano's goal looked a bit too open when Aimar Aimar came free, but Vítor Damas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Esquadrão Lusitano's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Samuca Leal was slow to take the kick. During this time Ique Football Club's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of Ique Football Club booed when Esquadrão Lusitano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Palmiro Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Esquadrão Lusitano's zone, Samuca Leal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vítor Damas came out of the goal and Samuca Leal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diamantino Câmara's late challenge caught a Ique Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diamantino Câmara helped the player get up and apologised. Esquadrão Lusitano's Vítor Damas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aimar Aimar in the 63rd minute of play. 70 minutes in the game Filomeno Esiquio did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Walter Texier. With a little luck, Ique Football Club's João Francisco Leme got control of the ball when Palmiro Cordeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Esquadrão Lusitano may have spent more time on the ball, but Ique Football Club were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
