Miguel Licerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marciano Cordarell, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Miguel Licerio was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Marciano Cordarell capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marciano Cordarell really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifacio Sugoi in the 21st minute of play forced Monteagudo's goalkeeper Feliberto Refugio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 28 played minutes Guiñazú FC got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Ferran. Cristobal Brion took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Miguel Licerio. Guiñazú FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Monteagudo's goal looked a bit too open when Carmelo Uhin came free, but Feliberto Refugio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guiñazú FC's Miguel Licerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anibal Domeka in the 43rd minute of play. Nestor Carlomagno kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carmelo Uhin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marciano Cordarell in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miguel Licerio saved Guiñazú FC from getting behind. In the 56th minute of the match Monteagudo got a corner. Guiñazú FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cristobal Brion ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 56 played minutes Monteagudo got a freekick which was hit by Martin Cresencio. Felipe Salvinos short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Feliberto Refugio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Guiñazú FC booed when Monteagudo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Cresencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Marciano Cordarell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marciano Cordarell scored 2-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Miguel Licerio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th minute, Guiñazú FC's Felipe Salvino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Feliberto Refugio. Feliberto Refugio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. 81 minutes into the game, Monteagudo's Marciano Cordarell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Miguel Licerio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. If Bernardo Senon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. Miguel Licerio came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Monteagudo's Bernardo Senon. But to his dismay, Bernardo Senon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1.
