Maximiliano Iigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michal Stehno in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute Lei Feng Ying shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Cristofol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, ★Independiente Ψ★'s Gabriel-Omar Batista ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Venancio Cristofol. Venancio Cristofol yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Maximiliano Iigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michal Stehno in the 35th minute of play. After a rather tough play, ★Independiente Ψ★'s Jairo Hotz got a free kick in the 37th minute. If Michal Stehno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. ★Independiente Ψ★'s Maximiliano Iigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maarten Aelbrecht in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michal Stehno in the 47th minute of play forced ★Independiente Ψ★'s goalkeeper Maximiliano Iigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Michal Stehno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Maximiliano Iigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Máximo Kirchner, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After 52 played minutes Unidad de Matanza got a freekick which was hit by Michal Stehno. Unidad de Matanza's Lotfi Ziadi was substituted for Michal Stehno. Yannick Bartz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 70 minutes into the match, Unidad de Matanza's Nestor Bâru sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maximiliano Iigo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maximiliano Iigo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Unidad de Matanza eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
