With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel-Omar Batista in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Venancio Cristofol saved Unidad de Matanza from getting behind. 9 minutes into the match, ★Independiente Ψ★'s goal looked a bit too open when Máximo Kirchner came free, but Maximiliano Iigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Unidad de Matanza getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Waldemar Okopny hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maarten Aelbrecht got free with Maximiliano Iigo in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Michal Stehno kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 25thth minute. Though ot was a great shot ★Independiente Ψ★'s keeper Maximiliano Iigo was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Michal Stehno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Maximiliano Iigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ★Independiente Ψ★'s Maximiliano Iigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michal Stehno in the 30th minute of play. When Unidad de Matanza's Máximo Kirchner in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ★Independiente Ψ★'s goalie prevented a goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Maximiliano Iigo as he didn't even see the shot coming. In a very dangerous position, a player in Unidad de Matanza fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Penalty! After having played for 44 minutes, Jairo Hotz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ★Independiente Ψ★'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Jairo Hotz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michal Stehno to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michal Stehno in the 54th minute of play forced ★Independiente Ψ★'s goalkeeper Maximiliano Iigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute Michal Stehno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximiliano Iigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clodoveo Orlin made in the 58th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ★Independiente Ψ★'s Jairo Hotz. Maximiliano Iigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maarten Aelbrecht, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 61stth minute of the game Maarten Aelbrecht who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ★Independiente Ψ★'s Maximiliano Iigo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maximiliano Iigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michal Stehno in the 64th minute of the match. Adan Aresti took the corner. In the 76th minute Michal Stehno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximiliano Iigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Maarten Aelbrecht's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maximiliano Iigo was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Alfonso Musso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Venancio Cristofol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Unidad de Matanza fully deserved thier win.
