Piara Santo started the match with the kick off. Yin Wei Yi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yin Wei Yi in the 9th minute of play forced Waitakere F.C.'s goalkeeper Marcos Burni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Piara Santo got free with Benedicto Ireno in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 23 minutes into the match, Piara Santo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benedicto Ireno, 1-0. Yin Wei Yi scored 1-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Burni, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ defense, Piara Santo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benedicto Ireno. The C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benedicto Ireno should have stopped the shot. Benedicto Ireno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Piara Santo in the 38th minute of the match. When Yin Wei Yi came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yin Wei Yi couldn't finish the play. Pablo Innocenzio made a great header on C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's corner, it was just that Waitakere F.C.'s Marcos Burni managed to reach the ball for a save. C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Cecilio Eli was substituted for Pablo Innocenzio. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yin Wei Yi was the one to do the kick off. The throw-in from Jairo Virila in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Ulryk Fikus. Gar Gamel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Ireno having to interfere. After 59 minutes, Piara Santo made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Benedicto Ireno tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Waitakere F.C.'s Nacho Scocco was substituted for Delmiro Oto. C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Márk Stephen was substituted for Yin Wei Yi. Waitakere F.C.'s Gabriel Batistuta was substituted for Piara Santo. Marcos Burni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Waitakere F.C.'s Marcos Burni got control of the ball when Márk Stephen tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Nacho Scocco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 76 in the game by Márk Stephen from a close distance when the talented Marcos Burni managed to make a qualified save. Waitakere F.C.'s players were relieved. Márk Stephen had several of the Waitakere F.C.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 76 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-2 score and a disappointed Marcos Burni as he didn't even see the shot coming. Eduardo Vasco kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Benedicto Ireno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Batistuta in the 94th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Gabriel Batistuta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benedicto Ireno. C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Batistuta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Waitakere F.C..
