Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ruperto Txomin got the match started through his kick off. Julio Vera had in the 19thth minute some difficulties stopping Abel Esiquio's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Bonifacio Naldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of play. Segundo Oton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Serginho Silva succeeded in the game's 26th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. 30 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Serginho Silva came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bonifacio Naldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Luis Andino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bonifacio Naldo quite easily take care of the ball. Atletico Calamar Saavedra's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruperto Txomin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 87 minutes, Ruperto Txomin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletico Calamar Saavedra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruperto Txomin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bonifacio Naldo having to interfere. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Atletico Calamar Saavedra were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
