Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) 7 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Feliciano Ayala. Feliciano Ayala was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 12th minute of play forced Santos de Buenos Aires FC's goalkeeper Feliciano Ayala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21stth minute of the game Danilo Seber who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The attack was good, but when Danilo Seber in the 22nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 25 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Hipolito Rozarius came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute of the match Santos de Buenos Aires FC got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Amado Corderall ran over to the corner to take the kick. Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Amado Corderall was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Feliciano Ayala didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Feliciano Ayala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Danilo Seber managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santos de Buenos Aires FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Danilo Seber was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hipolito Rozarius, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Hipolito Rozarius. But to his dismay, Hipolito Rozarius quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Santos de Buenos Aires FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amado Corderall didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hipolito Rozarius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. With a little luck, Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Feliciano Ayala got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 60 minutes in the game, Cristian Sancho dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Santos de Buenos Aires FC made a substitution. Bruno Cambiasso replaced Hipolito Rozarius. Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Feliciano Ayala proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Santos de Buenos Aires FC from getting a goal against them. In the 68th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Feliciano Ayala. Feliciano Ayala yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Raimundo Joey was substituted for Danilo Seber. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Feliciano Ayala made a huge save. Feliciano Ayala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 80th minute of the match. Felix Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Feliciano Ayala having to make a save. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Feliciano Ayala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Feliciano Ayala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 84th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albino Canor during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albino Canor in the 88th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 89 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. In the 90th minute Bruno Cambiasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santos de Buenos Aires FC were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Matias Remir took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Albino Canor managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand.
