Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Albino Canor started the match with the kick off. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Hipolito Rozarius sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 8th minute of play forced Santos de Buenos Aires FC's goalkeeper Feliciano Ayala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Eulalio Blai tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hipolito Rozarius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Feliciano Ayala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliciano Ayala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albino Canor in the 19th minute of play. After 20 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Matias Remir who took care of the corner kick. 24 minutes into the match, Santos de Buenos Aires FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Feliciano Ayala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 28 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Rouco. After 32 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Rouco. Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Feliciano Ayala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 35th minute of play. After 37 minutes of play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Feliciano Ayala was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 40 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Facundo Cadaval. Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Matias Remir couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 41st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mexico. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albino Canor in the 43rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Facundo Cadaval during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Santos de Buenos Aires FC booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Facundo Cadaval didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Santos de Buenos Aires FC made a substitution. Raimundo Joey replaced Rafael Gipuzkoa. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. 61 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Hipolito Rozarius came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute Albino Canor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A well done corner resulted in Teodosio James drilling the ball in to score 1-1 behind Mexico's goalkeeper. After some careless play in the Santos de Buenos Aires FC defense, Luca Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Feliciano Ayala. The Santos de Buenos Aires FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Feliciano Ayala should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Tafalla in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Feliciano Ayala prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Feliciano Ayala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 76th minute. The corner ended in Macos Graciani almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Feliciano Ayala did a great save. Feliciano Ayala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Feliciano Ayala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ramon Angel went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. The Santos de Buenos Aires FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mexico's performance. The match ended with a win for Mexico.
