Harro Meier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 14th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Harro Meier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of YugiPeeK ✈'s Harro Meier. YugiPeeK ✈'s supporters rose to their feet, but Rodolfo Blank was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute of play forced YugiPeeK ✈'s goalkeeper Harro Meier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Harro Meier in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 59 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Harro Meier. The Ecuador supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ecuador would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
